Nissim Mashiach
President & CEO


Nissim Mashiach has more than 25 years of executive-level pharmaceutical experience. Prior to joining Macrocure, he served as General Manager at Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company, for three years. He also served as President and COO at Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, a company acquired by Johnson & Johnson for $438 million in 2008. Prior to Omrix, Mashiach held leadership positions at several cutting-edge pharmaceutical companies. He holds an MBA from the University of Manchester, England, an M.Pharm.Sc. from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, and a B.Sc., Chemical Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel

 

 

Michael Molyneaux MD MBA
VP Global Medical Affairs

 

Dr. Molyneaux has over 15 years of clinical experience and has most recently acted as the full time medical director at the Center for Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at Passavant Area Hospital.  He has been actively engaged in clinical trial research for the past 10 years acting as a Principal Investigator for Wound Care companies: Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, US Biotest, CoDa Therapeutics, and Derma Sciences.  His special focus in research has been on cellular based wound therapies with regenerative medicine capability.  Dr. Molyneaux has been appointed to National Speaker Bureau for Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, Advanced Biohealing, and Organogenesis. He completed his medical school and residency training at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia Canada and he is board certified in both Canada and the United States.  He completed his MBA at Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated as a member of International Business Honor Society-Beta Gamma Sigma 

 

 

Randi Rutan
VP of Clinical Operations

 

Randi Rutan has more than 25 years’ experience in implementing clinical research.  Her early clinical experience in burn care lead to a passion for developing products to improve wound care.  Prior to coming to Macrocure, she served as Director of Clinical Operations for LifeCell, where she implemented clinical studies to demonstrate the clinical utility of dermal matrices in improving outcomes of the surgical repair of wounds.  Prior to LifeCell, Randi was the  Global Team Lead for Johnson & Johnson Wound Management where she was responsible for clinical studies in both chronic and acute wound populations.    Ms Rutan holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch and her nursing practice has included wound care, burns, trauma and surgical specialties.

 

 

Alan Smith, Ph.D
Head, North American Operations

Alan has over 25 years of combined experience in the biotechnology industry with more than 20 years of that time spent in the cellular therapeutics area.  Alan has served as President and CEO of Cognate BioServices, Inc. (a contract services organization), COO and Sr. VP R&D at Osiris Therapeutics, Vice President of Research, at Aastrom Biosciences, Inc., Vice President R&D, Geneic Sciences andDirector Cell Separations R&D, Immunotherapy  and Fenwal Divisions of Baxter

 

 

 

Moya Daniels
VP of Regulatory Affairs

Moya Daniels brings more than 20 years’ regulatory and quality experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. She has worked in the areas of biologics and tissue products. Prior to joining Macrocure, Moya worked for Osiris Therapeutics, Inc., a cellular therapy biotech company, where she led the global regulatory and quality assurance department for the Therapeutics and Biosurgery business units. Moya led the team that obtained the approval of Health Canada for Prochymal®, the first adult stem cell therapy product approved by Health Canada. Moya holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Saint Augustine’s University, Raleigh, North Carolina and a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Maryland.

 

 

Pazit Waks
QA Manager

15 years of experience in Quality Assurance of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Prior to joining Macrocure, she served as Head of QA at Teva sterile plant that produces sterile injectable products and sterile eye drops to the US, EU and ROW markets. Previous position included managing of Quality Assurance department, successfully undergoing regulatory inspections of FDA, EMA & other ministry of health departments. She was involved in developments of innovative, Biosimilars and generic products.
She holds a Master's degree in Quality Assurance and Reliability Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology & Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.

 

 

 

Ofer Eden, C.P.A. (Isr & UK), MBA
CFO

Over 25 years of combined  experience as CPA and CFO in Israel and Europe (including reporting to NYSE parent companies) with multidisciplinary (Operations, IT, HR) and international experience. Positions included PWC Manager, CFO Elite Europe, V.P. Finance CFO & COO - Promedico (pharmaceutical distributor and manufacturer), V.P Finance - Brinks Global Services London (international transportation of valuables, parent company traded on NYSE), Country Controller – Boston Scientific Israel (medical device company, parent company traded on NYSE)

 

 

 

Adi Zuloff-Shani, Ph.D
VP Development

Dr. Adi Zuloff-Shani has more than 12 years experience in the wound healing area, both in research and clinical aspects. Adi was one of the developers of CureXcell and has been involved in all scientific, clinical and medical aspects since its early stages.
Prior to joining Macrocure, she served as a researcher in the R&D unit at the National Blood Services in Israel and as a Professional accompany and consultation to the wound care center in the Sheba Medical Center, Ramat-Gan, Israel. She has been the initiator and researcher in most basic and applied research and clinical trials conducted with CureXcell.  
Adi holds a PhD degree in Immunology from the Bar- Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel, from where she graduated with honor.

 

 

 

Amit Avrahami
Israel Operation Manager

Amit Avrahami brings with him more than 20 years of experience in Operations and Production management in various industries such as: Pharmaceutical, Hi-Tech, Medical Devices and Bio-Tech.
Prior to joining Macrocure Amit served as the VP of Operations at Pluristem. Previous to that, Amit was Site Manager & Director of Operations at Colbar Life Science, a Johnson & Johnson company.
Amit holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management from Shenkar College, Israel and a Master's in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, England.
